Larsen Family Public Library

"Better libraries build better communities."

How to Get a Library Card

All borrowers must be registered and must have a library card to borrow library materials. Patrons must fill out an application form to apply for a library card. Applicants under the age of 16 must have a parent or guardian give his/her consent on the application form before a card can be issued.  Materials cannot be checked out until a library card is issued.

The library will serve all residents of Burnett County.  A valid borrower's card from another Northern Waters Library Service member library or from those public libraries in systems with which NWLS has a signed agreement will be honored at the Larson Family Public Library.  Service will not be denied or abridged because of religious, racial, social, economic or political biases. Burnett County visitors who do not pay property taxes here may borrow material by providing adequate identification. A temporary card will be issued. Materials to be checked out may be limited in number.

In order to borrow library materials, you must present a valid Larsen Family Public Library card. It must be renewed every three years. When you sign your new card you assume responsibility for anything that is checked out on the card.  If you change your address or phone number, please notify the library on your next visit. If your library card is ever lost or stolen, it is very important to notify the library as soon as possible, since you are responsible for items checked out on your card. Card replacement fee is $1.00.
